I wanna grow something wild and unruly

Martie Maguire, Natalie Maines and Emily Strayer

I’ve followed The Chicks since the Wide Open Spaces album in 1998. My copy of Home got so worn out I had to replace it! I love the band for their musicianship, all three are multi talented. Sex, emotion, politics, passion, love. Peace and love.

Mostly it’s the music which draws me in but also the politics of this band. They have frequently stated their support for and donated to LGBTQ issues and human rights issues. I’d love there to be more published albums but as they themselves have said, the babies/children have taken up a lot of time (let alone the divorces).

Their Twitter tagline “Superstars, renegades, innovators, heroes, villains, and moms.”

This site is highly subjective. I’m also a huge Springsteen fan and have highlighted any connections between him and The Chicks.
